In 1925, Carlos Gracie established one of the first Gracie Jiu-Jitsu academies in Brazil. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, Master Charles Gracie moved to the United States to continue sharing the art of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, opening the first Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Daly City, California, in 1997.
Continuing that legacy, Charles Gracie Academy Magnolia Inc., was established in 2025 to serve students and families throughout Magnolia, The Woodlands, Woodforest, Northampton, Conroe, Tomball, Spring, and the greater Houston area. Located near the back of The Woodlands, our academy provides a welcoming environment for students of all ages and experience levels to learn the Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu system.
Our academy fosters a family-friendly atmosphere built on camaraderie, respect, discipline, and personal growth. Classes are carefully structured with an emphasis on safety and beginner-friendly instruction, allowing students to learn and experience jiu-jitsu in a positive and supportive environment without feeling intimidated or overwhelmed.
